Hi everyone, hope all our new families are settling in well to Puddleducks and having a great time :)
For those who don't know me, I'm Sarah, the secretary for the Puddleducks voluntary management committee. I will be standing down from the committee at our forthcoming AGM on 5th October.
One of my last duties as secretary is to get as many parents as possible to attend the AGM. It is absolutely VITAL to the future of the group - we need a certain percentage of parents to come to the meeting and show their support, and to vote in the new committee. Without your support at the AGM, Puddleducks will not legally be able to open.
All you need to do is show up on 5th October and give Puddleducks your support. It takes place in the function room of the World's End, so you could even enjoy a drink or two whilst you help secure the future of Puddleducks.
There is no pressure or obligation to sign up for anything, but if anyone feels they could volunteer for the committee, that would be so much better!
We have a few roles that need filling - we desperately need a treasurer as Amy Snowling is standing down, so if you or anyone you know is good with numbers, please do get in touch.
My role as secretary is also up for grabs, and we will also need someone to keep our website and public Facebook page up to date with the latest news.
Joanne Doughty is always looking for eager people to help her fundraising efforts too.
If anyone is interested in coming to the AGM and/or joining the committee, and wants to know more about what's involved, please don't hesitate to contact me, our Chair Rachel Cushing or Sarah Webster Durrant.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the AGM. 5th October, World's End, 8pm :)

Puddleducks is currently taking part in the Asda token scheme!

Community groups and charities, such as Puddleducks, will be given a donation when you place a token in our box. The tokens can be collected from the cashier whenever you do you shopping at the Hall Road Asda.

This is a great and easy way for us to make money for Puddleducks. Just do your shopping at Asda for the next few weeks, pop your tokens in our box and you could help us win a fantastic donation.

If the cashier doesn't offer you a token, don't be afraid to ask for one!

Meanwhile, look out for Spree books arriving next week. Packed full of money off vouchers for meals, days out etc. Price £20, with a percentage going to the playgroup.
