Children from Puddleducks enjoyed donkey rides, a bouncy castle and a duck hunt at our fantastic Spring Fair.
Puddleducks hosted the event for the playgroup's families as a way of raising funds for the children who attend the pre-school.
Plenty of games, such as mini golf, skittles, hook a duck, a lucky dip and magic darts kept the families entertained. There were four tombolas and some great raffle prizes to be won, whilst other entertainment included face and nail painting, sweets, ice cream and candy floss. A number of local businesses also hosted stalls.
A trail of ducks around the fair spelt out the word 'fundraising' and children had great fun searching for the ducks, working out the mystery word and winning a squeaky duck at the end.
The event was well attended, and the organising committee hopes it has raised lots of money for the playgroup. The profits will be used to buy new equipment for the playgroup children to enjoy.
Joanne Doughty, Puddleducks' fundraising officer, who organised the fair, said: "It was lovely to see so many families enjoying our event. Hopefully we have all made a great contribution to the playgroup."

Puddleducks will be starting Spring with a fling! Our Spring Fair will take place on Sunday, April 30th, from 11am-2pm in the Jubilee Room of Mulbarton village hall.

Attractions will include a bouncy castle, hot food, ice cream, cakes, candy floss, sweets, a raffle, tombolas, face painting, a lucky dip, plenty of exciting games, plants and of course some local business stalls. It promises to be plenty of fun for the whole family.

We are collecting items for the tombola, and chocolate items for chocolate tombola.
Any keen bakers out there? We will need lots of delicious cakes for our cake stall; volunteers to help man the stalls; and of course lots of people to join in the fun on the day itself.

All profits will go to the playgroup, to pay for the pre-school theatre trip, drama sessions for the children and lots of new equipment, including a new shape carpet.

The joint Puddleducks and Peacocks Christmas fair has been a massive success! A big thank you to all staff, committee members and volunteers from both pre-schools who gave up their time to help.

You can read a newspaper report of the event here:

Puddleducks is delighted to announce the results of it recent Oftsed inspection – once again we have been rated 'Good' in all areas.

The Ofsted inspector visited the group at the end of September, and the results were published on the Ofsted website in October.

We are delighted with the results of the inspection, which is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff. Particularly noted in the report was the “quality of teaching” the children receive, and that they are given a wide range of opportunities.

I'm sure you will join me and the members of the committee in thanking our staff for making Puddleducks a 'Good' playgroup once again.

Outgoing chairman of Puddleducks, Sarah Haddon, said: “We are really pleased with the outcome of the inspection, and confirmed what we already knew - that the biggest asset of our playgroup is our staff. They are a brilliant team, who always have the children's care and wellbeing at the forefront of everything they do.”
